Today I would like to share my very hale and hearty & delicious too, dish of Turnip. Many find it bland & flavorless  But if cooked in this simple manner, this grub not only twirls out to be healthy but sumptuous too.
Its nutrient values are non-stop. It is full of Vitamin C & Energy. It is totally good for Diabetic & Heart- patients. Carbohydrate & fat are almost nil. It contains Fibre & Protein. I could go on & on about its healthy contents. So now for the recipe part J

Ingredients:

Turnips                                               4-5 chopped in 1 inch squares
Tomatoes                                          2 medium paste
Ginger-Garlic paste                           1-2 tbsp
Green Chili                                         2 de seeded, finely chopped
Asafoetida (Hing)                                     a pinch
Cumin Seeds                                              1 tsp
Salt                                                         according to taste
Chili powder                                       according to palate
Turmeric powder                                   a large pinch
 Coriander powder                                      1 tsp
Garam Masala powder                              ¼ tsp
  Fresh Coriander leaves                            a handful
Olive Oil                                                     1 tbsp  
               
Method:

 Heat oil. Saute cumin seeds & Asafoetida for a few seconds. Mix in ginger-garlic paste & saute for 3 minutes. Stir in tomato paste & spices & 1 tbsp coriander leaves. Saute for 3-4 minutes. Add turnips, sprinkle a little water & cook covered on slow heat till done. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with Methi Parathas or Tandoori Roti.

 Alternately, mix all in a microwave safe utensil & cook covered on Micro High for 8-10 minutes.
