Pineapple Gateau!!!



Our appetite for food is a far too intricate experience for any essence or foodstuff to solitarily control. From an investigative angle, it's obvious that it is not only our digestive system, but also our nervous system (including our brain), endocrine system, immune system, and metabolic system that all play essential roles in appetite regulation.

Ha Ha Ha. This thought was..... hmm mm.........lol.

Pineapple Gateau




Cake Batter:

Refined Flour                                      90 gm
Caster Sugar                                        90 gm
Eggs                                                          4
Baking pd                                              1 1/2 tsp
Pineapple Essence                                5-6 drops

Separate the yolk & white of eggs. Beat whites till soft peak forms.Beat yolks,sugar & essence till creamy.Mix in whites. Sieve flour & baking pd thrice to incorporate air.Add to the egg mix 1 tbsp at a time with a spatula with cut & fold method. Grease a baking dish with butter.Dust with a little flour.Pour batter.Micro high for 4 minutes & 10 seconds.Cover with a butter paper & leave in the microwave for 10 min. Remove & cool.

Bake in a regular OTG at 180 degree C for 12-15 min.Switch off the oven as soon as a thin layer of browning appears. Leave in the oven for 10 min.

Cut the Sponge into 3 layers. For this warm your knife a little before cutting. This helps in a crumb-less procedure.

Filling:

Pineapple Tin                                           1
Fresh Cream                                             500 gm
Icing Sugar                                                  75 gm
Pineapple Essence                                    2-3 drops



Soak Sponge into Pineapple syrup. Leave for 1/2 an hour. Beat cream over a bowl of ice till soft peaks form.Gently fold in essence & icing sugar.
Spread  thinly  on each sponge layer, along with slivers of pineapple.Arrange on top of each other. 
Finish with covering the whole sponge with cream & Pineapple roundels. Garnish with Cherries. 
Put cream in an icing bag & decorate.

You can add color.
No Beater,no problem.Beat with a fork.


Fresh Pineapple can also be used. Cook peeled & sliced pineapple in equal quantity of sugar & water till soft.
Cool & Store in a glass jar in Fridge.
Cut in decorative shapes & Voila, Pineapple Pastries are there.
